Cobalt drills are incredibly strong, so they are ideal for drilling into very hard, abrasive and difficult to machine materials. They can perform well at high temperatures - because cobalt drills can resist heat for extended periods of time, they don’t need to be cooled and cutting fluid doesn’t need to be used.
